Andrea Renee was born and raised in the great state of Texas... Raised in the small East Texas town of Palestine, fourth born of eight children to her parents. Andrea spent many years surrounded by her father, mother, and her Aunt & grandmothers southern cooking. She often watched her grandmother wrangle the chickens neck and serve it for Dinner. Her Uncle was widely known through-out town for his home grown Hot-Peppers, herbs, and vegetables from his infamous garden. At a very young age Andrea fell in love with the food.
At the age of fourteen, Andrea re-located to Houston, TX where she currently resides. In such a diverse and largely populated city, she was introduced to foods from a wide range of cultures, her exposure to such cultural diversity, Andrea's love for food begin to take on a life of its own.
Andrea Renee is a mother of two beautiful children, and a Texas native. Working in Higher Education for over 15 years, afforded her the opportunity to build a client base from many colleagues & and acquaintances. With support from family, and encouragement from friends, Andrea launched her catering service in 2014...
In March of 2014, She Cooked It Catering LLC was born. Shorty after, launching her own business, she published her 1st edition of the She Cooked It "Foodie" Calendars & went on to publish two more. In Spring 2016, she was featured in her 1st Magazine Publication by YOUNG HOUSTON MAGAZINE.
May 2019, Andrea resigned from her 19 year career to dedicate her focus to food photography, food recipes, blogging, etc. Since her resignation, Andrea has re-branded She Cooked It, into Private Chef services, and has also made a total of four television appearances on KPRC 2 Houston, featuring food segments & recipes from local & national food vendors. Andrea received her second Magazine Publication in October of 2019, with VOYAGE HOUSTON MAGAZINE.
Currently, Andrea is based in Houston, TX where she continues to expand her She Cooked It Brand.
